Leave every meeting with owners and dates, not just notes
To turn meeting notes into action items with AI agents, connect Fireflies or Google Meet transcripts to a Brainwrite bot. After each meeting it lists the decisions, the action items with an owner and a due date, and the open questions. It drafts the tasks for Asana, Linear, or your tracker and a short recap for Slack. Creating tasks and posting wait for your approval.

Every weekday at 17:30, read today's Fireflies transcripts. For each meeting, list decisions, action items with an owner and due date, and open questions. Draft Asana tasks for the action items and a Slack recap for the project channel. Ask me before creating or posting anything.

The job
Doing it yourself, and handing it off.
Doing it yourself
The meeting ends with a feeling of agreement and no written record of who does what. Someone was meant to take notes. The transcript exists, but nobody reads a 40-minute transcript. A week later, two people think the other owns the follow-up, and the decision gets reopened in the next meeting because nobody can point to where it was made.
What the team does
- Read meeting transcripts from Fireflies or Google Meet
- List decisions, action items with owner and due date, and open questions
- Quote the part of the transcript each item came from
- Draft tasks for your tracker and a short Slack recap
What waits for you
- Which tasks are created, and who owns them
- Whether the recap is posted, and to which channel
- How to settle items with no clear owner

FAQ
Questions about Meeting notes to action items
Which meeting tools does it read?
The Fireflies connector lists transcripts and can answer questions about a meeting, and the Google Meet connector lists past meetings and reads transcripts. The Zoom connector lists recordings and can fetch a meeting summary on paid Zoom accounts. You can also paste notes or drop a transcript file into the bot's working folder.
Will it create tasks and post to Slack on its own?
Not if you keep the thread in Ask mode and tell it to ask first. Sending a Slack message is an approval card unless you have allowed it, and you can grant the bot an exact list of tools. Most teams approve the task list and recap in one pass at the end of the day.
What if the meeting did not assign an owner?
The analyst does not invent one. Items with no clear owner or due date are listed separately with the quote from the transcript, so you can assign them yourself or raise them at the next meeting.
