The two plans

Brainwrite Cloud is $99 a month, billed monthly.

Self-hosted organisation is $750 a year, billed yearly. It unlocks the admin, budgets, and billing features on your organisation’s own server.

You buy either plan inside the Brainwrite desktop app after you sign in, which ties the purchase to your account. See pricing for what each plan includes.

Who a license belongs to

A Brainwrite Cloud license belongs to the account that bought it. A self-hosted license belongs to the organisation: its key unlocks the admin, budgets, and billing features on that organisation’s server.

License keys

The self-hosted license key is emailed to you for each paid year. A key stops working on its expiry date; the next paid year comes with a new key.

Cancelling and expiry

You can cancel at any time. You keep access to the end of the period you have already paid for — the paid month for Brainwrite Cloud, the paid year for the organisation plan. Access ends when the paid period ends. There is no grace period.

Source code

The open-source core of Brainwrite is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. The enterprise folder is source-available under its own license.
