Compare

How Brainwrite compares, honestly.

Brainwrite runs a team of AI agents on your Mac, using the AI you already pay for. These side-by-sides show where it fits next to coding agents, AI assistants, and automation platforms, including where each of them is ahead. Every comparison lists its sources and the date it was checked.

Split scene: at 11:30 pm a man works alone among sticky notes; at 7:00 am he relaxes with coffee beside AI agents Nova and Atlas.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Is Brainwrite an alternative to Claude Code or Codex?

Not a replacement. Brainwrite starts the agent tools you already have, including Claude Code and Codex, as engines. It adds roles, a Chief of Staff, routines, app connections, and approvals around them, so one subscription can power a whole team of bots.

How is Brainwrite different from Zapier, Make, or n8n?

Those platforms run workflows you design step by step. Brainwrite gives AI agents a goal and lets them decide the steps, with risky actions waiting for approval. The two can work together: an automation can start a Brainwrite task through its local webhook receiver.

Is Brainwrite free like some alternatives?

No. Brainwrite Cloud is $99 a month and the Organisation plan is $750 a year, and neither includes AI usage. Several alternatives have free tiers; each comparison says so plainly where it applies.
