What is Brainwrite?
Brainwrite is a local-first desktop app for running a whole team of AI agents. Each agent has a real role, a shared playbook, and a room to work in — chats, files, and agent state stay on your machine.
Is Brainwrite free?
No. Brainwrite Cloud is $99 a month, billed monthly; the Organisation plan, for teams that run Brainwrite on their own server, is $750 a year. You buy inside the app after you sign in. See the pricing page for details.
Which AI models does Brainwrite support?
Brainwrite works with Claude, Codex, Grok, Gemini, and a growing set of coding agents. You bring your own provider keys, mix providers per agent, or run local models.
Does Brainwrite send my data to Brainwrite's servers?
Not your work. Conversations, files, and agent state stay on your machine, and your bots talk only to the model providers and connected apps you choose. Brainwrite's account service sees your email and your plan, for sign-in and billing. With Brainwrite Cloud, your bots and their data live on your own Cloud computer, which only your own devices can connect to.
What operating systems does Brainwrite run on?
Brainwrite is available for macOS and updates itself after the first install. Windows and Linux are coming soon.
