Ship, sell, and do SEO with a team too small for all three

SaaS startups can use AI agents to cover the work a small team keeps postponing: issue triage, release checks, search content, and finding people who need the product. In Brainwrite, a Chief of Staff bot splits each request into tasks for specialist bots. Engineers keep review and merge decisions, and founders approve anything that posts or sends.

Where the week goes

The work that eats your time.

Switching between code and growth

The same three people build features, answer users, and try to get traffic. Each switch costs an afternoon.

Issue backlog drift

Bug reports arrive from Sentry, GitHub, and support email. Nobody has time to deduplicate, label, and route them.

Search traffic nobody owns

Everyone agrees SEO matters. No one has a week to find the opportunities, write briefs, and fix the technical issues.

Hearing about competitors from prospects

A competitor changes plans or ships a feature, and you find out on a sales call.

Triage new issues every morning

Give a bot access to GitHub and Sentry. Each weekday it groups new reports, flags duplicates, and proposes labels and owners for you to confirm. In Ask mode, changes to issues wait for your approval.

Issue triage

Every four hours, read new GitHub issues in our app repository. Mark likely duplicates, draft a request for steps to reproduce when they are missing, and suggest a label and owner. Ask me before changing anything.

  • Missing details: 3 reports lack a version; reply drafted, waiting for your approval
  • Proposed: #1207 bug, priority high, owner Mei (payments area)

What the team takes on

Jobs your AI team does every week.

  • Release readiness

The Ship Software Safely team turns a change into a scoped plan, reviews backend and interface boundaries, and ends with a release and rollback decision.

  • An SEO growth plan

A four-bot search team ranks opportunities by impact and effort, checks crawl and indexing evidence, and writes briefs with owners.

  • Reddit lead finding

A two-bot desk searches the communities you choose for real buying signals, scores them against your ideal customer, and drafts helpful replies for you to post.

  • Competitor watch

Track competitor pricing and changelog pages and get a dated Monday brief of what changed and whether it needs a response.

  • Onboarding emails

Draft welcome and check-in emails for new customers from your CRM notes, for you to review and send.

Why a team

Why this works better than a chatbot.

Use the agents you already have

Brainwrite runs agent CLIs such as Claude, Codex, Cursor, and OpenCode under your own logins. Pick a model per bot and per thread; your provider bills usage.

A separate computer per bot

Give an engineering bot a local VM through Docker or Podman, a hosted cloud computer, or your own Linux VPS over SSH. Using your Mac directly is a separate opt-in.

Routines with receipts

Schedule triage or reports on chosen weekdays. Each run starts fresh and leaves a receipt showing whether it completed, failed, or was missed.

Ready-made teams

Engineering, SEO, lead-finding, and competitor teams install from the team library with routines paused and apps off until you approve them.

FAQ

Questions about Brainwrite for saas startups

How can a SaaS startup use AI agents?

Hand off recurring work that sits between functions: triaging issues, checking a release before it ships, planning search content, and finding conversations where people describe the problem you solve. Brainwrite runs a team of bots for this on your Mac, coordinated by a Chief of Staff bot. You keep the decisions on merges, posts, and emails.

Can bots work in our codebase safely?

Each bot gets a working folder and a computer you choose: none, a local VM, a hosted cloud computer, or your own Linux VPS. Using this Mac is a separate opt-in with its own approval boundary. In Ask mode, risky actions become approval cards, and the Inspector shows every tool call the bot made.

Does our source code leave our machines?

Brainwrite keeps chats, files, and agent state on your machine. The code a bot reads is sent to the model provider you chose for that bot, under that provider's terms. If that is not acceptable for a repository, point the bot at a local model through OpenCode, Ollama, or LM Studio.

What happens to routines when my laptop is closed?

Local routines need the Brainwrite app running, so a sleeping laptop means missed runs, which show up in the run receipts. Brainwrite Cloud includes an always-on cloud computer that runs routines around the clock. It costs $99 a month, and AI usage is billed separately by your provider.
