monday.com AI agents for boards and updates

Brainwrite connects monday.com to your AI agents so they can create items, change column values, post updates, and move items between groups. A bot can read a board, find items stuck in one status, and write the weekly summary, or turn an intake form reply into a new item. You choose which monday.com tools each bot can call.

FAQ

Brainwrite and monday.com: questions

How do I connect monday.com to Brainwrite?

Open Connected apps, search for monday, and choose Connect. monday.com's authorization opens in your browser; approve access for your account. Back in the app, ask a bot with monday.com tools to list your boards. The token stays with Composio and is never written into prompts.

Can I stop a bot from deleting boards or users in monday.com?

Yes. The monday.com toolkit includes admin tools such as deleting boards and deactivating users. In the bot's settings under Connected apps, switch monday.com to an exact list and include only item, column, and update tools. Ungranted tools are never offered to the bot's model.

Will a bot post updates on items without asking?

Posting an update waits for an approval card in the conversation unless you've allowed it. You can approve, deny, or ask the bot to keep drafts in the thread instead. Leaving the create-update tool out of the bot's grant is the strictest option, because the tool is then never offered to it.
