WordPress.com AI agents that draft your posts

Brainwrite connects WordPress.com to your AI agents so they can read your sites and posts and create, update, and delete drafts. A writing bot can put a finished article straight into WordPress.com as a draft, ready for your edit. The connector works with drafts only: publishing stays with you in the WordPress.com editor.

How to connect WordPress.com.

  1. 01

    Open Connected apps

In Brainwrite, choose Connected apps in the sidebar. The official app sets up the connection service for you; there's no key to paste.

  2. 02

    Search for WordPress.com

Find WordPress.com and choose Connect. You can add more than one account later and label each, such as work or a client.

  3. 03

    Sign in in your browser

Finish WordPress.com's own sign-in in your normal browser. The access token stays with the connection service and never enters a bot's prompt.

  4. 04

    Choose which bots get it

In each bot's settings, give it all tools, an exact list, or none. Imported bots start with none, so nothing reaches your account by surprise.

The Apps catalog: Slack, GitHub, Gmail, Google Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Drive, Notion, Linear, Sentry, PostHog and Discord, each with Connect.

FAQ

Brainwrite and WordPress.com: questions

How do I connect WordPress.com to Brainwrite?

Open Connected apps, search for WordPress, and choose the WordPress.com toolkit, then Connect. WordPress.com's authorization opens in your browser; approve access and return to the app. Ask a bot to list your sites to confirm. The token stays with Composio and never appears in a prompt.

Does this work with a self-hosted WordPress site?

The connector is for sites on WordPress.com. For a self-hosted WordPress site, you can add a custom MCP server that speaks to your site, or give a bot a browser and have it work in your admin while you watch. Either way, publishing is still your call.

Can I limit which WordPress.com tools a bot can use?

Yes. In the bot's settings under Connected apps, choose all WordPress.com tools, an exact list, or none. A research bot might get only list and read tools, while the writing bot also gets create and update draft. Ungranted tools are never offered to the bot.
