Confluence AI agents for your team's wiki

Brainwrite connects Confluence to your AI agents so they can search content with CQL, read pages, child pages, and comments, create and update pages and blog posts, add labels, and download attachments. You sign in with Atlassian in your browser, pick which bots get which Confluence tools, and page changes come to you for approval unless you've allowed them.

Set up

How to connect Confluence.

  1. 01

    Open Connected apps

In Brainwrite, choose Connected apps in the sidebar. The official app sets up the connection service for you; there's no key to paste.

  2. 02

    Search for Confluence

Find Confluence and choose Connect. You can add more than one account later and label each, such as work or a client.

  3. 03

    Sign in in your browser

Finish Confluence's own sign-in in your normal browser. The access token stays with the connection service and never enters a bot's prompt.

  4. 04

    Choose which bots get it

In each bot's settings, give it all tools, an exact list, or none. Imported bots start with none, so nothing reaches your account by surprise.

The Apps catalog: Slack, GitHub, Gmail, Google Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Drive, Notion, Linear, Sentry, PostHog and Discord, each with Connect.

FAQ

Brainwrite and Confluence: questions

How do I connect Confluence to Brainwrite?

Open Connected apps, search for Confluence, and select Connect. Label the site, then sign in with Atlassian and approve access in the browser window that opens. Back in Brainwrite, bots with a Confluence grant can search and read pages. The OAuth token stays with Composio and never enters a prompt.

How do I limit what a bot can do in Confluence?

In the bot's settings under Connected apps, choose all Confluence tools, an exact list, or none. A support bot can get search and read tools only. Delete page, delete space, and space creation tools are easy to leave out, and ungranted tools are never offered.

Does the bot respect Confluence page permissions?

Yes. The bot works as the Atlassian account you connected, so it can only see and edit the spaces and pages that account can. Restricted pages stay restricted. Connecting an account whose access fits the job adds a limit on top of per-bot grants.
