beehiiv AI agents that draft newsletter posts and manage subscribers

Brainwrite connects beehiiv to your AI agents so they can write and update draft posts, look back at past issues, add subscribers, update custom fields, and build segments for your publication. beehiiv connects through Composio with an API key. The toolkit creates and edits drafts only, so publishing an issue stays with you in beehiiv.

How to connect beehiiv.

  1. 01

    Open Connected apps

In Brainwrite, choose Connected apps in the sidebar. The official app sets up the connection service for you; there's no key to paste.

  2. 02

    Search for beehiiv

Find beehiiv and choose Connect. You can add more than one account later and label each, such as work or a client.

  3. 03

    Sign in in your browser

Finish beehiiv's own sign-in in your normal browser. The access token stays with the connection service and never enters a bot's prompt.

  4. 04

    Choose which bots get it

In each bot's settings, give it all tools, an exact list, or none. Imported bots start with none, so nothing reaches your account by surprise.

The Apps catalog: Slack, GitHub, Gmail, Google Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Drive, Notion, Linear, Sentry, PostHog and Discord, each with Connect.

FAQ

Brainwrite and beehiiv: questions

How do I connect beehiiv to Brainwrite?

Open Connected apps, search for beehiiv, and select Connect. Composio's beehiiv toolkit uses an API key, so the page that opens in your browser asks for a key you create in beehiiv's settings rather than a sign-in. The key stays with Composio and never appears in a bot's prompt.

Can a bot publish or schedule an issue?

No. The beehiiv toolkit can create and update draft posts and list existing posts, but it has no publish or schedule tool. A bot can get an issue ready, and you open it in beehiiv to check the preview and send it yourself.

How do I limit what a bot can do in beehiiv?

In the bot's settings under Connected apps, choose all beehiiv tools, an exact list, or none. A writer bot might only get the draft post tools, while a growth bot gets subscription and segment tools. Tools outside the grant are never offered to the model.
