Close CRM AI agents that log calls and keep tasks moving

Brainwrite connects Close to your AI agents so they can create leads, log inbound and outbound calls with notes, create tasks with due dates, record SMS activity, and read the notes on a lead. Close connects through Composio with an API key. The Close toolkit is small, so it suits logging and follow-up tasks more than pipeline analysis.

I just spoke with Dana at Brightline about the pilot. Log an outbound call on the Brightline lead in Close with these notes, and add a task for me to send the pricing sheet by Thursday.

Set up

How to connect Close.

  1. 01

    Open Connected apps

In Brainwrite, choose Connected apps in the sidebar. The official app sets up the connection service for you; there's no key to paste.

  2. 02

    Search for Close

Find Close and choose Connect. You can add more than one account later and label each, such as work or a client.

  3. 03

    Sign in in your browser

Finish Close's own sign-in in your normal browser. The access token stays with the connection service and never enters a bot's prompt.

  4. 04

    Choose which bots get it

In each bot's settings, give it all tools, an exact list, or none. Imported bots start with none, so nothing reaches your account by surprise.

The Apps catalog: Slack, GitHub, Gmail, Google Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Drive, Notion, Linear, Sentry, PostHog and Discord, each with Connect.

FAQ

Brainwrite and Close: questions

How do I connect Close to Brainwrite?

Open Connected apps, search for Close, and select Connect. Composio's Close toolkit uses an API key rather than an OAuth sign-in, so the page that opens in your browser asks for a key you create in Close's settings. The key stays with Composio and is never written into a prompt.

What can't a bot do in Close yet?

Composio's Close toolkit has six tools: create lead, create task, create call, delete call, create SMS activity, and get notes. It has no tools for searching leads or updating opportunities, so bots can log work and add tasks but not review your pipeline.

How do I limit what a bot can do in Close?

In the bot's settings under Connected apps, choose all Close tools, an exact list, or none. A logging bot needs create call, create task, and get notes. Leaving out create SMS and delete call means it can't text anyone or remove records.
