How to connect Xero.

Open Connected apps
In Brainwrite, choose Connected apps in the sidebar. The official app sets up the connection service for you; there's no key to paste.

Search for Xero
Find Xero and choose Connect. You can add more than one account later and label each, such as work or a client.

Sign in in your browser
Finish Xero's own sign-in in your normal browser. The access token stays with the connection service and never enters a bot's prompt.

Choose which bots get it
In each bot's settings, give it all tools, an exact list, or none. Imported bots start with none, so nothing reaches your account by surprise.

Brainwrite and Xero: questions

How do I connect Xero to Brainwrite?

Open Connected apps, search for Xero, and choose Connect. Xero's authorization opens in your browser; pick the organisation and approve. If you keep books for several organisations, connect each with its own label. The token stays with Composio, never in a prompt.

Can a bot only read reports in Xero?

Yes. In the bot's settings under Connected apps, set Xero to an exact list of report and list tools. Leave out create payment, manual journal, and bank transaction tools. A tool the bot isn't granted is never offered to its model.

Can one bot work across several Xero organisations?

Yes. Connect each organisation as a labelled account, up to five per app. When more than one account could run a tool, the bot has to pick one explicitly, so it won't post an invoice to the wrong client's books by default.
